Working on the LIGHTWAVES project with Taunton Opportunity Group (TOG), a project led by the Somerset RFO Arts Team and supported by Short Breaks.

This brilliant project was designed to provide children at TOG with a fun and creative opportunity to explore: colour, light, shadow and shape. Despite being promoted as a respite opportunity for parents and carers families couldn't wait to get involved in the creative process.

The project aim was to create simple and tangible outputs. Artworks were created through a process of tearing, cutting and composing a range of transparent/translucent materials and natural and manmade objects onto screens, illuminated by natural light. Children also created rotation paintings, sun prints and constructed their very own colourful play space!
